It is a profound honor to serve as the Secretary General of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB)-an organization dedicated to championing excellence, equity, and innovation in higher education.

In today’s knowledge-driven world, private universities play a pivotal role in shaping an educated, ethical, and globally competent generation. These institutions are more than academic establishments; they are vital engines of transformation, preparing the leaders, thinkers, and changemakers of tomorrow.

My commitment to APUB is grounded in a deep belief that collaboration, transparency, and forward-thinking policies are essential to building a resilient and inclusive educational ecosystem. As Secretary General, I am steadfast in my mission to ensure that the perspectives and contributions of private universities are actively represented in national education discourse and policymaking.

Through sustained dialogue with the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC), The Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) the Ministry of Education, and other strategic partners, APUB is working to address regulatory challenges, advocate for institutional autonomy, and promote policies that enable our universities to thrive in both local and global contexts.

We are equally focused on enhancing quality assurance, academic standards, and governance practices across our member institutions. By fostering inter-university collaboration, sharing global best practices, and strengthening international partnerships, we aim to position Bangladesh’s private higher education sector as a model of excellence and innovation.

APUB remains a unifying platform – bringing together a diverse network of private universities bound by a shared commitment to national progress through education. Together, we strive to create an environment where every institution can reach its full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

As we navigate an evolving educational landscape, I extend an open invitation to academic leaders, faculty, policymakers, students, and civil society to engage with APUB in shaping a dynamic, inclusive, and future-ready private university sector.
