A View Exchange meeting between the officeholders of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) and the Bangladesh Society for Private University Academics (BSPUA) was held today at 5:30 pm at the APUB Office in Banani, Dhaka.
The meeting focused on issues related to higher education in Bangladesh, particularly within the private sector. Both organizations agreed to collaborate on initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable higher education in the country.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman (A) of APUB and Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) at Daffodil International University (DIU), led the APUB team. Other officeholders from APUB included Mr. KBM Moiuddin Chisty, Treasurer of APUB and Chairman of the BoT at Victoria University of Bangladesh; and Mr. Qayum Reza Chowdhury, Executive Committee Member of APUB and BoT Member at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP).
Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Professor & Director of CIAC at UIU and President of BSPUA, led the BSPUA team. Other BSPUA officeholders attending the meeting included Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain, Professor and Dean of FSIT at DIU, and Vice-President (Academic) of BSPUA; Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, Professor and Head of the Department of Management at IUB, and Vice-President (Research and Innovation) of BSPUA; Dr. Md. Nahin Mamun, Assistant Professor at NSU and General Secretary of BSPUA; and Dr. Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun, Dean of the School of Business at the University of South Asia and Joint General Secretary of BSPUA.
