The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election of the Executive Committee for the term 2025–2027 of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) was held on 17 July 2025.
At the election, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil International University, was elected as the Chairman of APUB. Mr. Benjir Ahmed (North South University) and Mr. KBM Moin Uddin Chisty (Victoria University of Bangladesh) were elected as Vice Chairman. Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin (American International University– Bangladesh) was elected as Secretary General, while Mr. Rezaul Karim (Southeast University) was elected as Joint Secretary General. Mr. Qayum Reza Chowdhury (University of Asia Pacific) was elected as Treasurer.
The newly elected Executive Committee Members are: Ms. Sadaf Saaz Siddiqi (BRAC University), Mr. Faruque Hassan (BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology), Mr. Kazi Zahedul Hasan (Central Women’s University), Mr. Lutfe M Ayub (Chittagong Independent University), Mr. Nowshad Shamsul Arefin (East West University), Mr. Abul Quasem Haider (Eastern University), Mr. Shafayet Kabir Chowdhury (East Delta University), Mr. Didar A. Husain (Independent University, Bangladesh), Mr. Md. Ashraf Ali (Prime University), Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman (State University of Bangladesh), Mr. Mostafa Kamal (The People’s University of Bangladesh), Dr. Kazi Anis Ahmed (University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh) & Mr. Hafizur Rahman Khan (Varendra University).
