In an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University, was appointed as the Acting Chairman, and IshtiaqueAbedin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, American International University-Bangladesh, was appointed as the Acting Secretary General.
This decision was unanimously adopted by the attending members during the APUB Executive Committee meeting on Friday, August 16th (Memo #2024-APUB, ECM 08(01)-131). The meeting was presided over by APUB Chairman Sheikh Kabir Hossain, and the agenda was presented by the Secretary General, Dr. KaziAnis Ahmed.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, an education enthusiast, currently serves as the President of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) and the Chairman of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Bangladesh Chapter. He also holds the position of Ambassador for the World Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (WUSME) in Bangladesh and is a permanent committee member of the Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF). Mr. Khan is a former President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and the Bangladesh Computer Samity.
IshtiaqueAbedin, who has served as the Joint Secretary General of APUB and is a member of AUAP.He is also a member of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industries (IBCCI).
